  • Dear Shell,

I put in a bathtub wall surround about 2 1/2 years ago. Due to a defect in the unit I have to replace it. Is there any way to take it off with out making a mess of the wall? An all purpose adhesive that was sent in the installation kit was used. Hope you can help before I make a mess.

    Thanks, Denise

    Dear Denise,

To remove I suggest you use heat. This can be done by starting at one edge and working down the sheets with a heat gun (1000 to 1100 watts). After removing tub surround install the new unit with butyl rubber tape available at most glass shops.

    It’s just that easy.
