  • Dear Shell,

It is deck refinishing time again. My deck was covered with pressure treated plywood and outdoor carpet. The carpet idea did not work out (shrinking, lifting, etc.). I thought I saw a glimpse of an idea on one of your shows. It involved a 3-step approach, starting with taping the joints similar to drywall and then painting. I could only find info from your shows on BioWash Products but that is not the info I need. Would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thanks, Walter

    Dear Walter,

Using plywood as a substrate you require a roll on coating or vinyl fabric to be successful.

    1. Roll on coating; call Consolidated Coatings ask for Deckote info. 604-946-7626.

    2. Vinyl Deckmaster call Ducan 604-942-0722.

    3. BioWash info call 1-800-858-5011.

Sorry I don’t have email for these companies.

    It’s just that easy.
