  • Dear Shell,

My sliding glass door to my patio is very tight and hard to open & close. Are there wheels on the bottom of the door that may be broken or worn out? I tried to remove the door to check for the problem by loosening the screws on either side of the door and lifting it up but I can’t lift it high enough to clear the track on which the door rides. Can you please help?

    Thanks, Gary

    Dear Gary,

Patio doors glide on a tandem wheel system which is replaceable. You are doing the right thing by loosening the screws on either side. You may have to use a pry bar to lift the door off the track or call Delta Glass for their service person to come out and replace them for you. Call Gordon at 591-6422.

    It’s just that easy.
