  • Dear Shell,

I am installing a new shower stall that is 76" in height. At what height should the shower head be installed? Should it be installed above the enclosure (drywall) or have a hole drilled in the enclosure?

    Thanks, Brian

    Dear Brian,

    1. A shower head should be installed 72” from the shower base.

    2. The area above the shower stall would be best covered with ceramic tiles or plastic laminate i.e.: Arborite or Formica. At the very minimum use a best quality Kitchen and Bath Paint.

    It’s just that easy.
