- Metal roofing

Dear Shell,

I have been looking at metal roofing for my garage and house. I have been told by several people in the neighborhood that metal roofs have a lower resale price because of the looks. I trust your opinion, so please give me the lowdown.

Dear Alf,

Steel roofs are more suited to steeper pitched homes i.e. 6/12 – 12/12. Color schemes mean a lot but do they lower the resale value? I say no! They look very nice and certainly get rid of the snow in the winter months.

It’s just that easy.
