  • Dear Shell,

Our house has aluminum clad windows. They are the type with wood inside and aluminum painted white on the outside. We would like to add some curb appeal to the house. Can we paint them?

    Thanks, Hal

    Dear Hal,

Yes you can paint your windows. Wash all the aluminum surfaces with my Shell Busey Home Cleaning formula using a Scotch Brite scrubber pad. Rinse well and allow to dry. Do not do this process in direct sun and DO NOT WASH THE WINDOW GLASS. Apply two coats of best quality acrylic latex paint using a polyester brush.

    It’s just that easy.
