  • Dear Shell,

Help! We are planning on painting our basement which is covered in paneling (about 25 years old). We have been trying to find a water-based primer that would be suitable. So far no luck, we have a little girl and really do not want to use the oil-based primers as it is a small house and the smell would be too strong. Could we use a water-based polyurethane?

    Thanks, Selena

    Dear Selena,

    1. Wash the wall paneling using my Shell Busey’s Home Cleaning Formula rinse well and allow to dry.

    2. Apply Flecto Varathane Diamond Finish Colours using a Whizz Fabric Roller.

    It’s just that easy.
