- Painting a bathroom that suffers from stained & peeling paint

  • To Solve the Problem:

    Make sure you have a suitable exhaust fan and leave it running for one hour after a bath or shower.

    Wipe excess moisture off the tub, wall tile or shower enclosure after use.

    Painting:

    Wash wall with Shell Busey's Home Cleaning Formula (medium strength). Rinse well.

    On areas where the paint is peeling, remove the loose paint with 220 grit sandpaper. Prime these areas with an all purpose fast dry alkyd primer.

    Caulk around window casing and under window sills.

    Apply two coats of Kitchen & Bath paint to walls, frames and casings.
