  • Dear Shell,

We have a problem with brown streaks from cigarette smoke on our bathroom walls & ceiling. They have been professionally washed twice but still come back. We would like to have the bathroom re-painted and would appreciate your advice on what steps to take to prevent the streaks from coming back.

    Thanks, Ruth

    Dear Ruth,

    1. Wash walls with my Shell Busey's Home Cleaning Formula (heavy duty mix) and rinse well.

    2. Paint walls using Kitchen and Bath Paint.

    3. Install adequate bathroom exhaust fans controlled by a dehumidistat.

    4. Consider no smoking in the bathroom where high contents of moisture are relevant.

    It’s just that easy.
