  • Dear Shell,

My mother-in-law is on a committee that is working very hard restoring a 1933 log cabin. It still has the original hard wood floor that has been sanded twice and polished with Aerowax clear paste wax. Nothing else has ever been put on the floor. Should they continue caring for the floor in this way? Should a different wax be used? Or should a different kind of product be used? If so, what? Please send your reply as soon as possible as an agreement cannot be reached as to what should be done.

    Thanks, Mavis

    Dear Mavis,

An answer to older hardwood floors that have been sanded to their limit has recently come on the market. Made by Flecto Varathane the product is called “Renewal”. It has three easy steps with the final step being a urethane coating making the surface of your floor very durable. For more information call 1-800-635-3286.

    It’s just that easy.
