  • Dear Shell,

I have old chairs with wobbly legs. I do not want to take them all apart and re-glue them. I have heard there is a liquid you can put into the joints without taking the chairs apart. Can you shed any light on this?

    Thanks, Lesley

    Dear Lesley,

Wobbly legs can be firmed up by using a product called Chair Lock or Wood Tite available at Lee Valley Tools across Canada call them toll free 1-800-267-8761. Tip – before you apply either of these products insure the legs are properly positioned by installing spreaders between the legs so there is no movement when chair is placed back on its legs. This can be achieved by using a 1x2 wedged between the legs when the chair is sitting upright.

    It’s just that easy.
